Every Swimmer Has a Journey
At Mighty Splash Swim School, we follow the STA International Learn to Swim Programme, providing a clear pathway from a swimmer’s very first splash through to advanced swimming skills and aquatic disciplines.
Our structured programme helps swimmers build confidence, develop water safety skills and progress at a pace that’s right for them.
Beginner Swimmers (STA Grades 1–4)

The early stages focus on:
✅Water confidence
✅Floating and buoyancy
✅Safe pool behaviour
✅Body positions
✅Travelling through the water
✅Introduction to swimming strokes
At this stage, the goal is to help swimmers feel comfortable, capable and confident in the water.

Frequently asked questions
We currently offer children’s swimming lessons for children aged 4 to 15 years old at u003ca href=u0022/our-pools/prior-park-college/u0022u003ePrior Park College, Bathu003c/au003e and u003ca href=u0022/our-pools/downside-school/u0022u003eDownside School, Radstocku003c/au003e.
Children can join us at this stage when they’re 4 years old and have started school. If they’re under 4 or haven’t yet started school, they can join our u003ca href=u0022/swimming-lessons/preschool-swimming-lessons/u0022u003epreschool swimming lessonsu003c/au003e.

Our children’s swimming lessons cover the STA Learn to Swim programme, which has seven grades. We split our lessons into Beginner, Improver and Advanced classes, depending on your child’s level. You can find out more about the programme above.
